To make this grilled chicken sandwich recipe, you only need a few things to make it taste like its gourmet rather than home-cooked. They are as follows. You need chicken breasts (one per person you are cooking for), lettuce, red onion, tomato, mayonnaise (optional) or mustard (again, optional) and a hamburger, Kaiser, or pretzel roll. (Hint: the better bread you use, the better your grilled chicken sandwich will taste).

Now, to get down to business and start making your grilled chicken sandwich recipe. First, make sure your chicken breast is thawed out. Afterwards, you are going to want to throw it on the grill and allow it to cook until it is white all the way through (you don’t want any pink on your chicken, or you are risking Salmonella). While your grilled chicken breast is cooking, cut up the vegetables.

You want your lettuce to be cut into pieces that are equal to the size of the your chicken breast and the bun. Don’t add too much, or it will be too crunchy and take away from the taste of all the other items. For your tomatoes, you need to slice them into semi think trips. For your red onion, they should be thinner than the tomato.

The plating for this grilled chicken sandwich recipe is as follows. Once your chicken breast is cooked place it on the bread you have selected, then top it with tomato, red onion, and lettuce.
